About Us

The Nigeria DNS Forum is created to address the socio-political willingness of the government, technical and economic capacity of the Private Sector, Academia, and Stakeholders to focus on the critical resources of the Internet in Nigeria.

This Roundtable will afford Stakeholders  of the DNS Community to put together policies that would deepen security and implementation of DNSSEC, patronage of Local DNSSEC Experts and would positively impact on Domain Space Security.

It would also translate to huge financial and investment opportunities for Nigerians with skills in Information Technology and Communication Technology.

We believe that the wealth of knowledge in Nigeria is great enough to make us reach the apex.

Vision

Our Vision is to promote Partnership and Collaboration with Government, the Private Sector and Civil Society in delivering effective DNS Interventions for Development (DI4D), within and beyond.

Mission

Our mission is to promote, facilitate and guide Stakeholders and Experts in using the DNS to deliver effective development interventions.

Inspiration

The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) in conjunction with ICANN, Nominet and PIR organized the First Forum for Commonwealth Nations to bring stakeholders together to gain insights in, determine the future of the DNS in the Commonwealth and beyond, with relevance to investment, partnership and security. The Key sponsor was the Internet Computer Bureau (ICB).
